RODI PROB

The BRS folks were saying somewhere that DI resin that is exposed to air while stored would not last as long. They vacuum seal their stuff. I bought a 1.5 gallon bag that they only recommend if you are going to be making a lot of water in a relatively shorter time because once the seal is broken the DI resin life will start decreasing. At least that's what I understood from what they were saying. Was your replacement resin stored for a long period? Was it in a vacuum packed bag?
It was BRSproduct and was vacuum sealed.

Was the Di You put in the cartridge packed in tight or was it loose? It it was packed loose that might be it.

The only thing I've ever heard of exhausting DI resin that fast when everything else was ok is CO2 in the water.

The TDS was starting to creep up on my RODI unit so I replaced DI resin, the carbon cart, and the paticulate cart. Making water for water change and in about 35 gallons the DI resin has changed color and TDS is creeping up again. I have a water softener which should help make it last even longer. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
My water is pretty bad and burns through DI resin too. I just got the resin in bulk and packed my canisters really tight and that has helped a lot. I thought I used to pack the canisters well, but this time they are packed so much that they look like they are staring to bulge out a little.

I think I will check water coming out of the RO membrane and make sure it's working o.k., or I might be ready for a new one too.

The membrane may be shot, and feeding the DI "dirty" water. This is the place to start with the troubleshooting. Waiting for Tom to verify the three TDS readings

Yep, my RO membrane output is reading over 200. Forgot to keep an eye on it. Just ordered a new one.
