Installed RODI filter in laundry room a week ago. Filled a brute trash can and about 4 5gal buckets with no known problems. Filling one 5gal bucket tonight and my sons closet behind laundry is flooding. Could the filter be the problem?!?

sorry - this doesnt make complete sense - because its impossible to see the plumbing.

1. Not sure what 'filter' youre talking about.
2. Not sure where the laundry is compared to the closet.
3. Where do you think the water is coming from - you shoudl be able to see - is it dripping from above - below.???

Suggest - take all of the stuff out of the closet (everything) until you can see where the water is coming from

If it's not the waste water tube, then I'm kinda on the same page as MnFish1... I'm not sure the internet is the best place to find answers to where water on the floor is coming from, you just have to follow the water.

Agree with @W1ngz .....where's the waste line? You do realize for approximately every good gallon of RO/DI you make, you get about 3 gallons of waste water. I don't see where your waste water line is going????

If you filled 1 5 gal bucket, depending when the line came loose, you may have 15 to 20 gallons of water that ran through that wall. Empty the closet and get a dehumidifier in both the laundry and the closet to dry it out from both sides before mould starts. Even if you have to buy 2 dehumidifiers, it will be cheaper than tearing out the walls and having the framing treated for mould. It may take 5-6 days for things inside the walls to dry properly that way.

Also, take the source water tube which is crazy long and swap it with the waste water tube.
You can take the waste water tube, and push it as far down the washer drain as possible, to make sure it can't work itself out.
Less tubing, cleaner setup, less problems.
