Rodi UV?!

If you feel like your tank is clean, why would you consider adding a UV to make your RODI cleaner? That doesn’t make sense to me.

I like psychology, so I am going to assume that you subconsciously think your tank isn’t clean.

Common sense tells me that if almost nobody installs a UV on their RODI, the benefits are negligible at best.

I did not imply your tank wasn’t clean. I was just trying to explore your motives behind wanting a UV on your RODI, which I now understand (sort of).

I could see using uv for well water that doesn’t already contain disinfectant like chlorine in city water.

So I go to my rodi makers website to browse a little and look at booster pumps. Well they sell a uv that goes pre filter or before the sediment filter.

Anyone running a UV on their rodi? Did u see a difference in water quality? Your displays livestock or water quality? Did your rodi units filters last longer?

i haven't try uv on my rodi filter yet, but i think it is good for a try, especially you make a lot of rodi water and save it for longer time use, there are some bacteria in the rodi container that makes the wall with slippery slime.
