I hear you. Well they got me lol. Branded AND tricked me in buying their products with their fancy bottles n stuff...now just gotta figure which brand to use lol Red Sea or Aquaforest. AF had prettier bottles lol

Mixing your own is really dependant on how much you’d use imo, like I’m just running a nano currently and I use 3 ml of alk in 24 hours so to buy a bottle of Red Sea isn’t that painful on the wallet but in Kenny’s case he might have to add 60-70mls a day and for pennies per L for limewater he’s found a perfect solution for his tank, lucky American lol

I manually dosed my tank for the first year. After looking at the costs, I never went back

I dont think my LPS could be sucking all my alk that fast anyway. I'll decide which manufacturer to use, get my test kits, do a water change next week (see if any change happens after waiting 1 week instead of 2) then start dosing.
