OK, then to clarify that for him...
The Vertex German facility is now closed and from this point forward the Alpha line will be produced in the USA.

I was focusing on explaining this statement.
“dissolved” “many” years ago,” but you “recently” moved Alpha production to the US from Germany

It seems he was implying that after RE, Vertex had no way to make the skimmers in Germany.

Well isn’t this a quagmire of semantics. Alpha skimmers are now produced in the USA. You probably won’t see one labeled as such until the current inventory is sold. So while I’ve said they are produced in the USA now, we probably won’t see one of these listed as such for a little bit, hence the in the process.

I think what he is trying to say is they contradicted themselves in each reply. First says production has moved to the USA and second it says it is moving to the USA.

Shred5 was accurate in his analysis. You simultaneously attempted to “clarify” for me the unknown, while glossing over the unaffirmed. I started with a simple ?: Did RE stop manufacturing Vertex Skimmers. Once this was determined to be old news, Vertex entered with an ambiguous marketing meme which purported to dispel any “rumors.” Subsequently, since they’re disspelling rumors, it’s now fair game to propose the simple rebuttal; if such was simply a “rumor” all along, just asking for confirmation that they did indeed transition straight from Germany to the US, regardless of whether it was at the RE factory( or another German factory)
Seems like a reasonable request.

For what it's worth, I ordered a dosing tube holder from Vertex and one of the screws was so short it was useless. After contacting Vertex they sent a replacement and every screw was a different length. The quality control on both was non existent and after the replacement Vertex pretty much shrugged their shoulders in response. I know it's not a larger expense like a skimmer, but maybe this sheds a small bit of light on your inquiry.

Hello Doug, I am sorry to hear you had continuing issues, the last time we emailed, I had sent you a complete replacement product new in box. If you would like to email me again with pics I would be happy to continue to seek a solution to your issue. Had I known the replacement I had sent was also defective it would have been addressed right away. Thank you

Does Proline still handle Vertex?
Are they even in business anymore?
