I already picked one up from you guys, and I'm stoked....it's a sweet acro.

I came across this old thread and thought I’d add to the lore or this coral. First of all, this was a RR Canada coral and at the time Reef Raft Asia didn’t exist as an entity and Tony had no signature coral yet. I saw that and many of the first famous RR corals a few weeks after most of the photo emerged. I then later saw the split colonies in Long Beach, which didn’t last long and got cooked a short time later IIRC.
Let’s just say I’m certain I had the real deal and sold some frags. One of the frags, along with Red Bull and maybe a couple others I had but I don’t think so. I had Avengers, CJ’s Pinky (I think a little later?), , Pink Floyd, the crazy gold milli etc. I sold a fair amount of them and I just got a frag from someone that I know bought it from me. I just need to verify with the person that bought it from me is the same coral that he’s selling.
Reef raft Asia Wolverine became a thing later, I believe after there was a falling out between Tony and the owner of RRC (Vic) and I saw the colony in person as well as frags and owner one. It’s not same coral and felt like an attempt to capitalize on the popularity and limited supply of the original.
I have some lousy pics on my iPhone 3 of the original RRC colonies if anyone wants to see...
Some things to keep in mind... With active growth wolverine simply doesn’t look like the original photos. It looks like that when you upset a colony and transport it, and then color it up successfully before it starts growing again. Also, while a stunning coral, it didn’t quite look like that I’m person. Maybe with some combination of lights, too down with a photo box and “tweaked“ it does.

Here is an older shot of mine, grown from a small frag I purchased through Premium Aquatics. It has the nicest purple base color of any of the "yellow tip shaggies" I've grown when you find the sweet spot of PAR to grow it in. It grows great in really high par but the purple color fades a bit.
