Ok, I have some updates. Restroom plumbing tested and completed. I got a water hook up for the RODI unit and the bottom for a utility sink. On the electrical, I just got power for the fish tank, a double outlet. Also got the bottom base for the stand and working on it. Happy with the results.

Everything is looking great. I just finished a project just like yours. It's always best to take things slow and in hindsight on my project I wish I would have added some 3/4" to 1" pvc pipe from my fish closet to the outside somehow, either under the house or through the attic so I could bring fresh air in for the skimmer to use air with lower CO2 when the house is closed up. I've done this in the past and it has raised overall pH by as much as 0.1 or 0.2.

Thanks. Interesting your comment about the fresh air for the skimmer. I have to dig on that on how to since I still not finish to install the drywall.

I've done it in the past. I have 3 main concerns with it, I call it the skimmer snorkel.

Concern 1 is that the tubing going from skimmer to outside needs to be a lot larger depending on how far the run is. If you use the same size skimmer air tubing over a long run the amount of air in the skimmer drops because of sucking pressure, or whatever its called.

Concern 2 is that if you do not filter the intake on the outside of the house the tubing or pipe can become clogged with debris. At my last house the tubing sucked up leaves and cobwebs and I had to find the obstruction and cut the hose. Kinda hard to do if inside the wall.

Concern 3 is that pest sprays may hinder/harm your reef. I was always worried that when Clark came by they would spray my tubing and my tank would get a big dose of bug killer. Because of this I asked Clark to stay away from that area of the house.

Yep, that make sense. I will probably add a fan in the room to get some ventilation.

I added a bathroom fan, about to hook up a humidity sensor to it but afraid it will come on all the time.

Hi Joe. Thanks for asking. I run with another problem with the tank. Cant find a 75g that can be drillable. Aqueon and Marineland 75's are tempered on all sides. Only choice I got is a 90g reef ready for $421 that is out of my budget specially that I'm on my house tile and kitchen renovation process. Basically I'm on a standby mode but this weekend I will get the green sheetrock to finish the restroom side and just leave the fish tank side when I get the tank. The 90g is about 24" high and the 75g is 21" high so I want to get the tank to be able to fit the tank properly before making any final cuts.

Well, I think the project will have to wait a little longer. An unexpected house repair just comes up. I bought my house in 1996 but was made on 1959 so you can imagine how those galvanized pipes are going to be

That is a familiar sight! We replumbed our entire house so I can empathize. By the time you finish you will be confident enough to be ready to start!
