Really stunning piece
I had grown a beautiful neon green and orange variety last year. Super super slow grower but makes a nice showpiece since it's skeleton tables out from the rock structure. Came across this rainbow chalice colored variety and it had taken its place. Was mostly dead around the edges but getting it back on track now.

I have no luck with chalices or acans… Very short living corals for me!

I went backwards. Chalices are very slow for me. Acans just get covered with peanut worms, the frags take forever to grow. Honestly those lps often do better in a newer system conditions.

I have them plated on bare bottom. Which was a mistake since detritus collects at the encrustment.

What is this? Definitely a beautiful!

I don't even know I got it from speedreefer. Granulosa for sure, I love the smooth skins even though they all take forever to grow for me

2 week trip up to the lake, back for two weeks then will be away from my reef for nearly a month

Things that happen to every hobbiest when they're away-
****** power supply thinned out on my return pump. I have 2 vectra L2s in my closet, a brand new cor 20, yet my jebao 12000 Is still beasting 7 years later. It did recieve some power, thankfully I was able to see what the issue was monitoring wattage I thought was nice to see first hand with apex.

My silicon tubing to my UV and frag tank return slipped off the day before my dt pump started dropping wattage. So both tanks experienced less flow through the systems

Just prior to that, I have absolutely no idea how my alk dropped down to 5.5
Tested both home and at the shop. Topped up the reactor, Had a few pieces brighten up. I've always from time to time would have some acro colonys pale out. I've also had some nasty swings down to like 6 6.2 before so it's either that or the frequent changes of r0x carbon.

Either way I've has cyano out the wazoo for over a year. I never really cared much about it since my tank was full of corals, didn't really mess with anything but it's zeroing out my nitrates now is getting to be an issue for me since p04 starts to rise.

Been trying to handle it but I might use some liquid nitrate to move it up a bit.

For those wondering what my sump looks like. Trust me at one point it was pretty. Socks monster skimmer some carbon bags, floss in the filter trap. Tons of tubing.

Sometimes cheato, had to take it out recently
