Safe, yet proven method of reducing po4?

Hey all, had my 125g running for about 6 months, finally got a hannah ULR po4 checker. After 3 tests, this is what I'm getting:

So that equates to about .3 ppm

... if my math is correct.

My aim is .08 ...

My question is,
NoPox
or
Chemipure Elite Gold / Blue?

And why?

I had good luck with Brs high capacity GFO thru a reactor.

If you have a tank full of SPS that has been running at that PO4 concentration for that long, I'd be extremely cautious about lowering it to 80 ppb in a rapid manner.

Do you have rogue algae or sick corals? If no, then don’t chase numbers and disrupt a good thing.

My Ppb meter reads a lot higher than yours. I use gfo in a very slow filter if the algae threatens, and the corals are happy

I have lost all my sps due to the rise.
Even a thriving monti-cap is kaput.

Nothing to lose, I wanna get it down, safely, in a timely manner.

Phosphate RX is dilute enough to add without a 10 micron filter sock. Sorry you lost some stuff, but some people are over that number and are fine.

Have numerous montis grow quite large with higher phosphates than that. Don't disagree with your goal but pretty sure there is other causation for losing all corals.

For quick reductions of very high phosphate i like well rinsed phosguard. Starts going too low just pull out the media bag. I use in three day cycles since its depleted faster than gfo.

Better start looking else where for the cause of your losses. Want to try to guess my po4?

But to answer your question, I'd also vote for LC as mentioned by previous poster. Gfo is no good. Leaches iron and iron causes dead corals I don't care what anyone says about it. Especially when you also use aluminum based product like phosban, thinking it will absorb the Gfo. No Bueno.

All my LPS, shrooms, leather, dendros, torch, octospawn, they are all doing fine. Happy and growing. I maintain all my parameters and they barely move.

I had a severe algae outbreak which I am treating with vibrant after exhausting every natural option. Starting 5 weeks Saturday on that, working well.

I guess I could send out an icp test just for a baseline. Meh

No3 hasnt gone below 5 or above 12 in months

Best I’ve had was running GFO part time. My tank looked good decent numbers except for high nitrates then fell in love with RedSea coral ab and test kits so tried nopox two large bottles of it.With nopox had issues gha Dino’s cyano. No two tanks are alike tho. Balance of nitrates and po4 in my tank nopox didn’t do the trick. New sump with mud and Chaetomorpha with added biodiversity has seen a huge change.
With your nitrates low and po4 there nopox max do the trick until your sump upgrade comes online.
From what I’ve read nopox can have good effects in two weeks or months but again every tank is different.
I’m hoping to get to a place we’re vibrant,nopox,GFO aren’t needed at least not in a constant manner.

If you want to give nopox a try you can take my bottle just about full see if it gives ya the boost your looking for just give a shout and we can meet up.
If you do watch your Chaetomorpha mine died in a week after starting but like I said different tanks react differently.
