Ok, I could have saved myself the embarrassment but I think you all should know what an idiot I am for all the help you gave me. First I would like to blame my parents for sending me to public schools. When I got the new test kit I still had a little Mg-1 left from the previous kit. I threw that in the new box. I indiscriminately pulled the old Mg-1 out for the test. I retested with the new Mg-1and it worked perfectly. Again, thanks for the time and help, I probably wouldn’t have figured it out without the description and pictures of the new Mg-1. It is officially time to make fun of me and I should have listened to Randy.

Did your mom always tell you to eat whatever she put on your plate, and “Don’t waste food “ like my mother did?

That could explain why you didn’t toss out the extra reagent.

I’m having a similar issue here. My mag is testing 1200 every time. I thought my tank was low and couldn’t figure it out. Request a icp test back from Red Sea and my blue bucket tested just fine.
So I tested a new batch and still 1200.

I saw someone stated they couldn’t directly contact salifert and I couldn’t either. I’ve messenger them multiple times with no answers.

I’ve done some good mistakes when using test kit reading and the answer was staring me in the face lol . Started using Hannah testers and it’s easier lol

Agreed lol, what's a sign magnesium is low?

My Red Sea kit is always showing over 1650 but yet I never add it. I only add a small amount of AFR and do a 4g WC once a week.
