What is the salt brand you are using?
Why are you using this specific brand?
Have you dropped any other brands for the current one and if yes then why did you do it?
Why in your opinion the brand you're using is better than others?

I’ve pretty much have used instant ocean and reef crystals for the most part the last 50 years. Started with IO and then in 80 or 90’s started using reef crystals. I have tried other salts but always go back to RC and IO.
plenty of good salts out there, but for me the cost comes into play. I haven’t found a salt I think is worth paying double or more for a bucket. jMO

Opinions....

Salt is salt, choose one that matched the parameters you want to keep, or learn how to "doctor it up".

With that said, price is the number one reason i choose the salt I choose. Been doing this for a couple decades and have used just about every salt on the market at one time or another. Never saw any difference between the cheap salt(Instant Ocean), or some of the more expensive options. So for me, price is the reason I choose the salt I choose.

I use Red Sea Coral Pro Salt. I haven’t dived too hard into corals with it, but for easier to moderate ones it does the trick.
Haven’t had any issues with parameters or fish health for 5 years of using it.

A 55g drum of it cost like $30, so isnt too bad on the wallet.

I wish I could get a 55 gallon drum of salt, I’m sure you mean 5 gallon. I use about a bucket a week so price is real important to me.

Ever seen the super sacks of IO?

In what manner?
I’ve had a tank for 2 years with a really hard time keeping SPS.

Since I changed to Fauna Marin products (salt and balling light for more than a year, and other FM supplements) I never lost any other SPS and they grow (to me) pretty fast with pretty nice colors now.

Pictures of my tank before and now:

Notes:
During the old times I lost most of those sps, those euphyllia (maybe due to a low phosphate) and the scoly is gone attacked by my copperband.
After starting FM I also changed the right island rocks but improvement preceded that

I'll play devils advocate here.... any major salt brand is just as good as every other. Find one that is cheap and readily available. THAT is the best salt brand.

i think tropic marin or fauna marin had a uk specific salt which always seemed interesting, i have to find a link for it. It was a similar spec to pro reef but just for the uk so maybe it had better quality control or was produced in the uk.

Other than that IO, Red sea, hw, liveaquaria, fritz, tropic marin, have all worked well for me, prices changed overtime causing me to switch and with IO i had to add stuff and clean buckets more often but they are all good

I use red sea coral pro , just because it doesn't require any adjustments or additional additives when I mix it. But I've only been in the hobby for 3 yrs now, and I'm not ri h by any means that said the cost isn't so bad considering what I get from it. My coral and fish seem happy.

Popular opinion it seems, I normally use instant ocean or reef crystals because they are easy to find and cheap. I'm not picky though, if something else is cheaper I'll buy it.

I miss the oceanic blue buckets. Not because the salt was better, but because those buckets were the bees knees.

I use Fritz RPM or Live Aquaria Salt (spoiler alert, same salt). The alk 8.5 matches my tank so I just pump it in. Honestly, I don't even test it. I mix 2.5 scoops in the bucket, it turns clear in an hour or 2, then in it goes.

I tried Tropic Marin a little while ago, and the low alk killed some corals. 2x as much and poor results. All set.
