Either will work. Reef salts mainly contain higher levels of macro elements required for coral.
Reef salts are normally more costly.

Lot of products to choose from and you might want to first decide on the water parameters you want to maintain, then choose a brand of salt with those values. Good luck.

Don't listen to all the hype. Buy something brand name that's cheap and readily available. Instant ocean usually fits both criteria.

This question will garner as many responses as there are available mixes. It truly depends on what you are keeping, what you are dosing (or not), where you like to keep certain parameters, preference for clean mixing vs. residue, etc.

Personally, I just made the switch from TM pro reef to Fritz RPM, but IMMV.

I keep a mixed reef and am partial to AF Reef. Similar to RS Blue but w additional Mg when mixed to spec. And u can check batch results off the bag box or container

HW Reefer or TM Pro are my top choices. HW Reefer can be found on sale since it isn’t MAP which I like

for my FOWLR I will use reg, IO. for my seahorse reef, IO reef crystals until I run out then prob switch to reg. IO.been using IO for years. I like it.

that said if TMP was the same price I would use that most likely. what ever you get get a few months worth

This will be a varied answer based on user preference, needs and availability.
I have used most every salt on the market especially having owned an LFS and received many sample boxes to try.
Instant Ocean is the most universal and used by most public aquariums such as georgia, shedds, Miami and New York.

My all time favorite was Salinity by Seachem but became hard to fin and when found was pricey
I also liked Aquaforest salt but for a time , it too was hard to find
I currently use Tropic Marin and it has done Very well for me.

In the past, I have used, corallife, Kent, Hawaiian marine and Reef crystal in addition to Red sea reg and pro plus Fritz blue. None I can say have let me down and its a matter of if you are focusing on fish, coral or both
