Saltwater Tanks: What do you hate?

As much as we LOVE our reef tanks there are things that we hate about them too!

I thought it would be fun to list some stuff we really hate to deal with when it comes to our aquariums. They can be big things or dumb little things that get on your nerves!

JUST NAME ONE THING PER POST PLEASE!

I'll start.

It's little and dumb but I HATE it when I let water drip down the glass of the tank! ARGGG!

I dislike when people walk up to my tank and have no idea that they are looking at live animals. Then I tell them and they aren't blown away.

When things go SOUTH!!! And then especially when I can't figure out why...

buying the wrong equipment, no having enough space for bigger tank, not enough money for better equipment, a nagging wife lol. the list goes on and on..

When my fish decide my corals belong upside down eating sand

The ring of scummy whatnot that's always at the water level on my rimless tank. Some kind of precipitate that I have to razor blade off once a week

.. when water from your arm drips down the tank isn't caught fast enough and gets in between the bottom of the tank and the stand...

So much of this ^^^^^^

If I move the coral to the Damsel side of the tank he eventually dislodges it. If I move it back to the Clown side of the tank and they do the same. They do not respect any amount of superglue gel or epoxy that I use, eventually the coral is back in the sand.

I go to great lengths not to do that, so when I do it any way it's all the more frustrating.

I also hate that I'm addicted to expensive fish. ;Sorry

That you can't put quite a few fish together. Frustrating to have to keep telling your wife "no you can't get that fish because we have this one already". I'm always wanting multiple tanks just to have all the fish/corals I really want. Did it once and instead of having one thriving tank, I had multiple subpar tanks.

well after finding nemo and dory movies ....ppl think your the devil for having a reef tank all the while there eating somones body part but judging you for reefing.

A tiny scratch on the glass only you know about but that doesn't make it any better.

That the addiction never ends. Never enough coral. Never enough fish. Its like lighting stacks of hundred dollar bills on fire hoping one of them makes it lol
