Saltwater Tanks: What do you hate?

How about simply cleaning the glass??
I put that off for days sometimes.

My wife's eye roll when i say i have to swing by the LFS because the tank needs something yellow, green, red, blue, etc... its almost like she doesn't understand.

Im just trying to keep her living room pretty. So really its all for her.

I hate when the glass cleaner slips as you are cleaning the glass and fails to the bottom of the aquarium and lands just far enough away that you can't retrieve it with the other end of the magnet, forcing you to plunge into the water in order to get it.

The investment for a floating one has been well worth it for me! I threw that sinking piece if garbage out so fast and never looked back

Oops, that's two things but I've got enough hate for the both.

Browe algae and coral dead with no reason.

smeary glass that defies all cleaners, water and vinegar, vinegar alone. Used alcohol yesterday and it worked the best

Same thing always happens with my floating glass cleaner, but it’s easier to retrieve.

As much as we LOVE our reef tanks there are things that we hate about them too!

I thought it would be fun to list some stuff we really hate to deal with when it comes to our aquariums. They can be big things or dumb little things that get on your nerves!

I'll start.

It's little and dumb but I HATE it when I let water drip down the glass of the tank! ARGGG!

I do that right after I have cleaned it!!
