Today is the day!! A little nervous. We live out in the sticks in the woods down a gravel drive lol. No garage... this will be interesting lol. Any advice appreciated.

My aquarium arrived in one piece! We need to wait until Sunday for our boy and couple of his football buddies to put the tank on the cabinet.

The cabinet doors were pretty hard to install. My husband and I pride ourselves for putting things together. The manual is crap at best and luckily the video helped a bit.

A member of the FB Waterbox group told me how to interpret the manual after he screwed up his doors and all is good now.

There is a wonderful WB community growing and it’s a blessing to have their input and knowledge.

The tank is up!! We change the location of the tank to the kitchen because of structural issues and options. The kitchen has a cement pad. I love the tank but the cabinet seem a touch wobbly when we put the glass in it. I’ve seen tons of photos so I know it will hold lol. Also, there is a little mark on the bottom front pane of the glass. Not sure if this is an issue. Maybe Waterbox will chime in. I’ve had no luck contacting them on the phone or receiving a call back :(. See the last picture. Looks like the icon for hanging up the phone.

Very happy to hear you have had a good response from water box. It looks like you are getting there. You sure have a good set of equipment, and I admire your patience to acquire it. I absolutely love Peninsula tanks and this is going to be awesome.

Thank you so much! I really feel blessed to be able to make these purchases. As I mentioned before, my husband and I are on Law Enforcement pay and we just moved into a new home. I wanted to buy once and have confidence in the product than buy many times and in the long run spend more money. I have the opposite problem of most of you, I love this reefing world and I need to convince him. We all need a hobby and not only does this one bring peace after a long day at work, but I can teach the kids about conservation, science and how all the fish differ and play a part in their little box of water.

He and I are both a little concerned about how this stand will hold so much weight. We have had wooden stands in the past. I know it's been tested and I see so many tanks out there with this type of stand..it's just a little scary lol.

Welcome! Loads of folks here to help you out as you progress through the build. The part when all the new goodies arrive is so much fun, enjoy it! Putting the system together for me is as adicting as the critters we keep.
That's really one of the best parts!

When you say your stand is a bit wobbly, did you make sure all the feet are touching the floor and it's level? I know this is a PITA to get right but you will want it stable before water goes in. If they are and it's more like the stand itself, check that you tightened all the cams fully. My 135.4 wasn't wobbly at all with the tank on it.

It may get worse once there's water in it. o_Oo_O

I will check it when I get home. I wasn't there when they put the tank on the stand, but he said it was wobbly =( sigh

Sorry for the long delay, things have been busy with work and life in general. I have received my lights! I choose the Orphek Atlantik V4 (Gen 2) and I'm super stoked about them. The tank is in position and still waiting on water. I've asked my father in law to run a outlet on the wall next to the tank since there isn't one currently and to run it as a dedicated circuit. Waiting on this to move forward. He hasn't been feeling well and is losing a lot of blood. The doctor's don't know where he is losing the blood from and has been through battery of tests. Prayers and good thoughts are welcomed =).

Once the tank is wet I plan on taking it nice and slow. I want to add all rock from the current tank and I also have a lot of used sand and "live"rock in buckets waiting for a home lol. What is the best way to proceed? I know there will be tons of die off if not everything dead. Can I rinse and clean of the sand/ rock and just add it to my existing rock? I'm not using the sand in my current. I plan on leaving the new tank fallow for 76 days to make sure I'm starting off fresh. Thank you for your time!
