Pity .. what does it look like ? A blotch or does it look different with maybe some skin damage or do you think it is a normal may be stress reaction (in which case it should not last more than a day or two IME)
Well I guess all you can do is keep and eye on it then ... does not seems like you think it is anything other than just due to the cleaning, but that is kind of unusual as normally fish do not show discoloration as a result of that ... but ... as I said just watch it and hopefully it will go away ... If there is no swelling then it would not indicate that it may be due to internal parasites (worms) so it is odd but then there are many things in this hobby that are at times !
I'm thinking that if the shrimp was truly irritating the fish, the fish would not tolerate it.
Which then leads me to believe that the shrimp may be eating dead tissue, thus keeping any possible infection at bay. If the scales on the fish have been damaged during an accident or disease or parasite, they wont grow back. Which is most likely what your seeing.
It is good to hear that the fish is otherwise happy and eating

Most Gpbies are either mostly scale-less or totally scale-less and have a smooth body covered by thick slime ... so it would not be an issue with scales IMO but some thing different.

I love the fixture, I've had 2 of them for about 6 months now. They have two knobs on top that you can dim ether the blues or the whites with.
Yes just about everything looks fine indeed and I do see a few spots here and there of cyanos .. but from the pics I cannot tell how bad your outbreak is ... you may be able to get it under control by siphoning out the patches and doing larger water changes for a few days in a row rather than going to chemical treatment options ..

And to get rid of the cyanos you may need to do several in a row ... often that works to get rid of them ... and siphon out whatever coating you can ... good luck .... i am sure you'll figure out a way to eradicate them

I've been having a bit of trouble with this tank lately. Everything has been pretty closed up and there has been a lot of micro bubbles on all the rock as well as a sort of oily sheen on the top of the water. I also lost the Sebae Nem about a week ago. I've done two large water changes in the past week and they didn't seem to help. Two days ago I removed all the Macro Algae and the Mangrove tree, thinking they were releasing something into the water. I also moved the Koralia right up near the top of the water to get more ripple on the surface. I also removed the biggest Damsel from the tank.
Last night everything seemed to be open and most of the bubbles were gone from the rocks. Any suggestions as to what may be going on?
