Ok one last question. I have an apex and watch the two videos about hacking the SB reef lights to work with apex. However, I am not sure which model that would apply to. Can the wifi versions be made to work with apex or should I go with the Pro? I would assume the wifi version does not contain physical dimming modules to tie into.
Id guess it would have to be a ramping model at min.Ok one last question. I have an apex and watch the two videos about hacking the SB reef lights to work with apex. I can't speak for the wifi version, but I did do the mod with a pair of the 32" Pro's.Ok one last question. I have an apex and watch the two videos about hacking the SB reef lights to work with apex. I think you should go with the basic lights because you would be defeating the purpose if you got a light with the timer !! The apex will do all the timing for youOk one last question. they make multi headed power cords. Or diy them.
They make the wires that have two to go into one so for 2 lights you would have 2 plugs instead of 4 !!Whatchu mean? The sprite has 2 power cords. One for each channel, same with the standard 16" box. So if I did 2 of those, not including my night lights, I'd have 4 power cords just for lights and 3 timers taking up a huge chunk of space on a power strip. 32" pro I'd have 1 cord for all 3 channels with a built in timer. If there's too much shadowing from the center brace, one could always cut it out and replace it with a clear one.
I have the 16 extreme WiFi. I LOVE it with one flaw, the app for Android has a very small number of timer points you can set while Apple has 3x as many. I don't own anything made by Apple so this is a huge disadvantage.
Do the SB boards have their own app? My AqDim3 that works with whatever wifi Chinese box I currently have has 24 time slots.
Yes, it comes with the device. Directions are horrible but they have directions on YouTube how to get everything set up etc.
Yes it's a third party app on Android that is called SmartLED. For Android you can only have 10 time points which is horrendous. Applie I believe you can have up to 30.
