Hi guys. Long time no see. I feel I’m ready to mingle again. Just had my first day at my new job, which consisted of zoom meeting and lots of online training presentations. First day on unit is Friday. As some may know my tank was devastated by a ton of torch losses, mainly. But I can say that it’s starting to look lots better, except for all all the friggin aiptasia. Once I get my pay going again I’m probably looking to get some peppermints and possibly berghia.

Anyone had a ReefWave45 give up the ghost? I've been running 2 of them but one recently started making noise and not working correctly. Ordered a rebuild kit and just tried that but no luck.

When it sends power to the motor, the motor housing gets hot and it tries to spin but doesn't. Guessing the motor housing itself is bad and I'll have to order a new one. I've also contacted RedSea about it.

Just curious if anyone has had something similar happen

Never used one but I have had other wavemakers and gyres get "gunked up". Did ya disassemble and verify the spindles directly from the motor do not spin? Try to help and see if they get moving with help.
