The bottom right has my attention
This is everyones experience as far as i can tell.
FWS and high iodine posts are hand in hand. @billyocean and I were talking about this last evening. Cut your FWS dosing down and it will likely resolve.
Edit: i see you already did that my mistake. Someone else was hypothesizing that iodine can "build up" over time. Completrly anecdotal bt bassically a deprived reef will take a good maintenance dose to get to a level that sticks around, then the maintenance dose can decrease significantly. Tbh its somewhat been my experience.
I made up some iodine and manganese and saw a similar question to needing to shake, essentially RHF stated without a centrifuge, under normal gravity nothing should settle out of solution except solids that wont dissolve in the aquarium anyway.
Roger that. I guess once I got the levels up I wasn’t backing off quick enough to hold a good level.what
what problems are you noticing with the high iodine?
I’m not certain that high iodine causes issues either. I was also dosing both Seachem Reef Iodide and FWS and completely stopped the Reef Iodide. Also, I dose KZ Coral System, but don’t dose part 4 because I get plenty of iodine in the FWS and my ICP showed that my levels of Potassium, Fluorine, Bromine, Iodine were pretty good. My last ICP was before I started KZ coral system and it showed high iodine and low fluorine, however there is Fluorine in another part of KZ1234Roger that. I guess once I got the levels up I wasn’t backing off quick enough to hold a good level.
Corals don’t seem to mind the higher levels. Everyone seems fine with it. If anything, the only noticeable thing is the shrimps are shedding their skin more often. Guess that’s a good thing.

I think I was dosing 25% of the recommended amount and it was way too much for my iodine demand.Fwiw .05mL (1 drop) seachem iodide is .68ug/L. In about 120gal aquarium:
Mafs:
8000mg/l Ki
76.4% I = 6112mg/l I
1 drop = .05mL
1mL = 6.112mg/mL
.05*6.112mg/mL=.3056mg per drop
.3056/450L (120 gal)=.00068mg/L=.68ug/L

This all makes sense to me. Since I was doing daily water changes along with both FWS and the KZ1234 I was probably overdoing all the elements which is what my last water analysis was showing. I’ll send in another water test next week. Will probably still show some elevated, but hopefully trending down again.I think I was dosing 25% of the recommended amount and it was way too much for my iodine demand.
