I mean I've had Acros in my tank since Friday and parameters are prefect so what could possibly go wrong? Not sure the corals are going to have any space to grow lol.

Nah, grow from frag frags, they will look more natural in your tank if they grow small to colony size in your tank, with your flow, your nutrient. Those look hitchhikery as well, I’d be weary of that stuff.

Yeah true... must resist urge to buy more acro frags! Lol. I'll try but no promises.

Oh I see. I’d say just order a battlebox from battlecorals. People always have great things to say about that guy’s frags.

What was that blue one in the pic. My cookie monster has decided to rtn on me. Of the 4 I bought 2 weekends ago, that is the only one I really wanted and ****. I'm going to frag it to a few polyps tonight I think. I agree w/ @Hemmdog. Get a $250 battlebox to start, you won't be disappointed. Adam will load you up if you let him pick the order and have it be a mystery box to you. You can say what you're looking for also. My last tank before I killed it was a sweet table acro collection from him. Super nice guy. I've only read 1 complaint about BC, wasn't b/c of anything he did. When you get tight enough w/ him and get his #, he answers texts if you have a concern or questions about anything acro. He is a helper for the hobbyists for sure. I'm going to bump him up b/c he has helped me in the past, bump him up b/c my deltec skimmer is coming through him, bump him up b/c he always answers a text, bump him up b/c I need a blue if the cookie monster dies, and bump him up for being a good guy. He has "snipers" blue, so dark blue, almost purple. The one that I had and want again is the PC superman. That is a table piece, the old school stuff. You've seen a Pro Corals "rainbow" acro for sure in a search. The superman is a little harder to find, but so nice. Sniper also, old sKhooL. There, I spelled it the hip way for a farmer.

That does look like an original Oregon tort. That coral lineage is almost 20 years old with some impostors mixed in.

Trust me, I'd rather be at work than dealing with this stomach bug. My fiancee and my daughter both got it, but my son didn't. Judging by the doggy pad it seems the dog may have been effected also lol.

Bought some more corals haha. Firgued I'd get the Euphyllia near completion then work my way back up for more SPS later lol.

The one on the right I just got 1 head. Other two should be 2 heads each. Trying to get 1 of each Euphillia lol. Especially the ones that are not crazy expensive.

how much are you dosing? mine still seems to oddly eat up alkalinity but not calcium, so weird. i'm doing a water change this weekend with regular IO to hopefully get my calcium levels down a bit

I'm only dosing 5ml of ESV. Dosing Calcium and Alk equally. My target is around 8.5 Alk. I usually test Alk in the PM but actually decided to test Alk today around lunch time and then again in the afternoon to see if it drops in between. Just tested Alk and it is 8.6 now.

I tried to get my calcium and Alkalinty completely balanced before I started dosing equally.

I think it was this article below that I read that basically says both should be consumed at the same rate. There may be some drift over the long term but for the most part both should be consumed in equal amounts.

Are your dosing lines above the water or in the water? I noticed my Alkalinity line gets clogged with percepitate if it is in the water.

Yep. Every day for a while lol. Just until I'm sure I got it dialed in. I keep adding stuff though haha. Should be down to 1 time a week soon hopefully.

New corals arrived. Got them acclimated, dipped, and in the tank. Can't wait to see how they look fully open but look great already. The acro and purple monster zoa were freebies .
