Well I'm trying to use something that keeps my hands out of the tank.

Had to cut the tip when I fed mysis though. Not as easy to use but trying to keep my hand dry and whatever's on my hands out of the tank. Still not decided on if I like it or not. I had a similar one that I accidentally cracked because I tossed it in with my other fish tank junk. It was hard plastic all throughout so the tip was better on that one.

Feed your acans mysis. Most all lps love mysis. That guy’s methods are debatable at best. I bet his phosphates are 10 using a full teaspoon. Or he has a gigantic tank.

That tool is fine for mysis, I have the skimz coral feeders for that and phytoplankton fogs. The acans though want a paste like that video that you can hardly suck up into that dental flush syringe I posted. I had to nip the the tip a little to let her hoover in the goodness. That curved tip let's you get every head. Be careful w/ that stuff like hemmdog said. It is crack for algae. Regular dawn dish soap is fine for your scrub before diving in the tank. Rinse really well and dry your arms off for a couple minutes w/out touching anything, the skimmer will get residual residue.

A teaspoon! No way. Get a shot glass and put in about 3mls of tank water. Take little scoops of the juice, reef chili comes w/ a tiny spoon, stir w/ a toothpick to make a paste. Shut off the pumps so the acans puff up w/ feeders out. Give each head a small fish turd sized lump. That is it. Like hard to push the syringe plunger down. No more than a 1/4" turd of the juice.

I think the instructions of the reef roids say 1/4 tsp. Per 50 gallons of tank water. I use 1/4 tsp at the most. Most of the time I take a couple of pinches because I can't find the measuring tsp thingy lol.

I was feeding reef roids once a week and mysis once a week but will probably switch to once a week and alternate. I like to feed both. Sometimes I just mix up both reef roids and mysis. Still trying to get a good routine down but yeah I know I've been over feeding a bit. Planned to ramp down, I just wanted to make sure my little animals were well fed lol.

Not really reef related but I traded in the Focus ST and got me a Silverado because Texas! It's a 2019 Silverado LT Z71 Texas Edition, whatever that means. They are going to add leather, side steps, and floor mats in it still. Woohoo! Probably not the smartest thing I ever did but hey the old lady said Yes. I need to hurry up and marry her already lol.

Nice man!

Now you have transportation for when you buy that monster tank from Planet Aquariums and drive it home! Would've been a tight fit in the focus

Whoa whoa... let's not get crazy now. The spray on bed liner is for show only. 4x4 is also just to have the extra knob. They could have just given me the knob and I would have been happy lol. Only thing is missing is the 4x4 sticker on the tailgate. How will people know if the sticker isn't there? But yeah the only crawling this baby is doing is mall crawling!

So I spent the last couple of days at the dealership and driving around. Truck nill has a whopping 175 miles on it. I actually averaged under 10K miles a year in the truck. Still have to take the truck back monday to get the running boards and leather installed.

The reef was not too happy with me putting my attention elsewhere. Frags fell over, algea took hold, fish went a whole day without eating, etc.

Lol I'm just being dramatic. I turkey basted my rocks real good on my last water change so pretty sure that may have caused the flare up in algea and I need to get around to gluing the rest of my frags. Was going to do it Monday but ended up getting the truck instead.

I manually removed as much algea as I could and righted the turned over frags. I think everything is going to be A-O-K!

Crap, sump has a small leak. Noticed it during my water change. I thi k what happened is the black mat shifted one time when I was messing around with the sump and I never bothered to straighten it out.

Time for a 30" trigger sump or equivalent. Some companies get a little silly, but being in Texas, you're right around the corner. Did you avoid that flood earlier in the week?

Man it has been raining for like 3 weeks on and off. We didn't get hit too bad. I think a little further south they got some hail and tornado warnings.

Scoly is looking hot. Water leak is small so no salinity change which is good. Going to swamp sumps after dinner.
