SC Aquariums 50 gallon PNP

Or muriatic. The muriatic is 10 parts water to 1 part acid, just don't breathe it. Citric is safe, I just don't have that or know the dilution formula.
I just eye balled 1:10 citric to water. I had no idea. I could of gone a little stronger in hindsight, a very minimal amount of coraline remained in a few spots.

A 10 minute soak in the solution should start dissolving and loosen up the coralline off plastic. A toothbrush or fingernail to finish it off. The stuff comes in a plastic jug, just trying to protect our equipment and health. I'll be looking up the citric acid way. I keep the muriatic on a high shelf in the garage, but crack the cap, and you can see a vapor reaction like smoke. It etches concrete.

@Why-Me

I saw a new (2016?) On Facebook last night for sale. It was $600, Don't know what it came with but was tempted but I don't think I have enough space for it lol.

You don't need the $800 version that comes with orp and salinity probes. The thing is the salinity probe is known to be finicky at best and the orp isn't something you really need especially for the extra money.

I just soaked it in a Lowe’s bucket for 45-60 mins then sprayed it off with a hose. Not quite German reefing standards but hey, it’ll do.

You need top notch internet to run that thing, your not getting that for your tank are you @Why-Me ? @Philipgonzales3 what do you even need an apex for? Your tank is set, lol.

@Hemmdog that makes me laugh. With all the activity we did get him 7 users and 3 guest looking it over. Like the old turtle man show. "LIVE ACTION"!
I loved that show !!! Hahhaa

And it doesn't need internet. I have mine currently hooked up to my brute can cooking. You set outlets to do what you want then unhook internet. Everything has a fallback if it does lose power too. Internet is needed for alerts and watching current parameters while away from your tank. I did however order a range extender for wifi that has an ethernet outlet on it so I can have my apex hooked up to the internet while I'm out of town next week.
I do want to be able to watch things and turn them on/off if need be.

Oh cool nice !

@Hemmdog that way I can start running out of things to buy?

You can't keep spending money on aquarium equipment if you already bought all the equipment.

Lol it would be nice to be able to see my temps remotely when I'm at work among all the other safety features and what not @Why-Me talked about. No way I'm going to try to stuff it in my cabinet though so probably won't happen until I upgrade haha.

So I have some bad news and some good news.

Bad news is my blasto is not looking too hot. May be a goner but just guessing at this point.

It looked shrunken up. It was just outside my diamond Goby's hidey cave. Or at least one of them.

20190412_154504.jpg

Moved it away from the cave and towards the edge of the tank where the light should be less intense.

It's mouth looks caved in.

I put a small amount of reef food (reef frenzy nano mixed with v20 fish & reef). It looked like it grabbed some but hard to tell.

I hardly ever target fed this guy. Figured it was being fed indirectly but now I'm thinking maybe I should have been spot feeding it?

The good news is that my Scoly, St. Thomas Mushrooms, and palys will be here tomorrow. Vendor messaged me and said they'd cover the extra shipping charge to get me the corals tomorrow. So of course I said sure thing, I will be here! Lol.

Oh I see.
Strange. Puffer ?

I’m still so jealous you are getting a scoly. I’ve been looking for one since I got in the hobby and can’t find one sub 300 :(

Strange. Puffer ?

I dunno. I mean he hasn't really picked at anything else that I know of. He literally is like a toddler. Wants the new thing really bad at first and then 5 minutes later it's old news to him.

The little mouth I can see on the side looks fine. Sometimes they get frumpy and don't puff up all the way. I always spot fed my acans on my old tank. It does make a difference. I'd make a thick reef roid paste that could barely get sucked into a pipette and try to give each head a little dose while all the pumps were off. A chunk of reef frenzy works. It just looks agitated like something picked or smacked it and the biggest head deflated to protect itself. I hope the new "thingies" arrive in good shape tomorrow. You better special order a scoly printed purse or handbag soon. Bet one of those is over 3 bigs. At least get her a cell cover from pirates reef if they have any left.
