Schnitzels Girlfriends AA 13g Long Nano

i picked up her new tank from john at advanced acrylics . Looks *******. Got a sump too

Dimensions on the tank are 30"x10"x10" (13g long) with an external overflow. 1/2" acrylic rimless

Sump has 2-4" filter socks with a fuge and return. No skimmer and no reactors.

Lighting will be aquatic life 24" 36w led fixture.

Return pump will be eheim compact 1000 (250gph)

Gunna run purigen,Aquamaxx Ultramaxx, live rock, and filter socks as the main filtration.

Tank will be zoas/palys and Lps. She already has a frogspawn,hammer,and a torch. They were all doing great in her 8g. I think it was just lacking in the light department. Her new fixture should work out perfect

Tank came together with no problems. The stupid durso was impossible to tune. I'm running an Eheim compact 1000, it's like 250gph. I think it was too much flow for the 3/4 durso. I ended up drilling holes in the pipe beneath the 90*. It's working great now.

The light was a difficult to hang. It was a DIY hanging kit. It all turned out good though.

The color on the light is *******. It's a nice 16-18k. Tank is very quiet. And the flow is pretty darn good with just the eheim. Tank looks clean with no wires. Will maybe add an mp10 in the future. Gunna get her setup with a Ranco temp controller and a fan to keep the temp stable on the weekends with no AC. Also gunna add an ATO soon.

The rocks were just thrown in there, NOT the final aqua scape. Gunna make a 2 or 3 island minimalistic look.

Thanks. I pretty much stole it from the mr aqua 12g long.

We were originally going to go with the tank, but in the end I spent about the same amount and this tank looks way cleaner IMO. I didn't have to add over flow box or drill the tank etc etc.

This was my inspiration for this build
