Any more info on how you did the durzo? Trying to get one to work in my overflow box but its been tricky.

Basically the flow was too low for 3/4" PVC. By adding a ball valve on the drain, I put a little back pressure and BOOM it was silent. I think I'm going to add a ball valve to my 180 to try to quiet it down some.

Been two days and its running perfect.

Nice! thanks for the picture too. I am trying to get a good stockman standpipe but i cant quite seem to get it just right.. I have been putting the back pressure on mine too but the way I have done it is put so much back pressure that it raises the water level a bit to the point where no air is going into it instead of cutting down the height of the pipe. Just haven't got the perfect height fittings yet.

Really like the over flow box on yours errr.. I mean your girlfriends tank...

I've got her setup with 4-4" filter socks. She rotates the clean ones in every week. She also does small 2.5 G water changes once or twice a month.(she uses my old water for her water changes) Obviously she feeds the fish, and she started to dose the salifert all in one along with fauna Marin zoa powder. I figured since there were only 3 fish that she feeds very little to, the fauna Marin would help with color and coral growth.

She proved herself on her CADLights 8g cube. Stocked with a torch,frogspawn, ricordias and a bunch of zoos. That tank was just so small and the light sucked.

Little update

Tanks been doing really good. Nem hasn't moved an inch in weeks. All 3 fish are healthy and eating like pigs. All corals are coloring up and growing. Her rainbow hammer looks awesome.

She's starting to get a little algae growth on the Sand and acrylic. I think this is some sort of algae cycle. My frag tank did the same thing. I told her to clean the acrylic every morning so that way the algae doesn't build up and get hard to clean. Harder it is to clean, the more likely she will scratch it. I didn't even buy her a magnet cleaner yet, I'm making her clean it with an acrylic safe brush and/or by hand with an acrylic pad. Also the acrylic is 1/2" thick, so it's tough to find a nano magnet cleaner that will work on 1/2" acrylic. Any suggestions?? Most that I've seen are huge, way too big for her tank.

I have a buddy that has the same aquaticlife LEDs over his nano tank, and he's keeping a few sticks and montis with good growth. So pretty soon I'm gunna throw in a monti and probably an easy stick like green slimer or maybe a birdsnest. Whatever she picks out of my collection.
