Found a whack of Zoanthie eating nudi's in my rasta colony. No idea how they got the as I dip, but must have missed an egg bundle on something else. The zoa's have been removed from the tank and the dips and quarantine have started.

Thanks Chrisfish, I did a lot of planning before putting this one together

So I have some annoying turf algae growing on the zoanthid colonies in quarantine. Would any of you bee that worried about adding them back to the main display? The way I look at it is that something in the main tank must have been keeping it in check. There is no observable pest algae in the display tank. So this stuff just started coming out of the rocks in quarantine.

Ideas?

The yellow tank a magnificent fox face destroyed the algae that was there. Easy peasy! Some growth pictures:

I am a sucker for a good watermelon.

Used three Magnesium test kits. An old Salifert, new Salifert and a new Red Sea.

Old Salifert test kit: 1065
New Salifert kit: 1305
New Red Sea kit: 1380

Well, I guess I'd trust the non-expired ones over the expired one. With that said, it looks like you're somewhere in the 1300s! About the best you can infer.

One of my pet peeves I cannot stand when you get different readings
