Unless you absolutely love this urchin, I would advice not to bring anything caught straight from the nearby shore into your DT without QT.
There's only certain ones that are safe for our tanks. Some eat corals, and I know that they also like to eat the purple Coraline off your rocks.
They're at the reefs likely because that's what they like to feed on.

Actually this one is found in a sandy area with a ton of hair algae
Just like qt coral, observe it in a tank by itself to reduce the risk in case if it's carrying anything.
Got a picture? Is it a long spined urchin?
Nope. I used to catch them for fun but I'm going to find one this afternoon
If the anemone is from temperate waters it may not acclimate to the higher temps of the average reef tank.
What do you have in your DT? If it's a long spined urchin, it can get real big over time and will start to cause problem either cuz it starts to knock over your corals as it searches for food or it's just too big for your tank. It could also be an easy target for ur fish if you have ones that eat inverts. A tuxedo urchin would be a better choice for a reef.
