My anemone was doing awesome for a month now it looks like.... not so great. Have any of you ever had this happen my tank is been set up for 10 years and the last 10 months I have changed it from just saltwater fish to fish and corals. All of my parameters are stable and I'm using an auto Doser and auto fill water level along with 35% water changes every month.

My lights are 2 250w metal halide 20k XP bulbs off a PFO HQ ballast

Mine had the same issue, I found out it was because one of my screws on the fixture got wet and leaked rust water into the tank here's mine now

What are you feeding the anemone? How long have you had the anemone? What is your photo period? Has it always been in the rocks? Typically, sebaes do better on the substrate leaning on rocks. It might be trying to find a sandy area.

One month 28 days to be exact I feed it shrimp. And it has always been on the rocks at the saltwater store and in my aquarium. I like this one because it was more white than any other ones I have been told I should not have picked the white one more of a Big beige/brown one.

A white H. crispa is a bleached one (( any hosting anemone for that matter )), should be avoided if possible.

In your last picture it looks like it is started to dissolve.

What are your actual water parameters -- with numbers please -- including salinity/SG, and how it is measured.
Are you using RO/DI water? If so, what is the TDS?

What exactly did you do to switch over from fish to reef?

Did you acclimate it to your lights?

How do you actually feed anenomes?

For me, when I do feed them (( haven't fed any of my 3 in about a year )) I would take some frozen krill, thaw it in some tank water, and place the krill on the anemone's disc.

I think I'll try that I got one now so I was wondering how to do it..I'm still learning but thanks peeps

Nitrate 0.2 ppm max

Phosphate 0.03 - 0.05ppm

Salinity 1.026

Calcium 420 ppm

Acclimating into my lighting it sat in its own container for about 45 minutes before I put it in that was also with one Oh my pumps dripping my saltwater to acclimate the temperature before I put it into my aquarium

What I did to make my aquarium Fish to relief I added the pumps to inject my Additives into my tank less for me to do. also added a calcium reactor bought a new Protein skimmer and switched the lights out from T5's to metal halide 20k, Also bought an aquariepure to keep my nitrates at zero or as close to it as possible

Ro/Di water yes, it fluctuates from 3-8 ppm did not see that question at the bottom.

Can reply more in the morning, but acclimating an anemone to increases lights takes weeks, not minutes. I recommend using 3 layers of window screening, supported by egg crate, with removing a layer every 5-7 days.

The TDS should be zero, anything higher could just algae, or worse damage/kill some inhabitants.

I'm going to send my Ro/di system back 600 dollars and out of the box I could not get zero. I had to remove my anemone it was dissolving. This is really confusing because when everyone kills off their things they put them in my tank and within three months back to looking like brand-new. I will buy another one later, but until I can corner a possible problem I'm going to hold off. I wonder if the shrimp I was feeding it was bad I did give it some Saltwater minnows that was its last meal and then this started to happen within 32 hours it went from looking like the original pictures to a Deteriorating ball. Don't know.

Sorry. Just remember sebaes IMO are on of the harder to keep anemones. Were there any newer anemones that it could be going to "chemical war" together? Meaning they're releasing chemicals to try to kill of the other?
