Seneye help

I just bought a new seneye. I am not a happy customer. I hate spending money on things that don’t work out of the box. I’m hoping someone here can help since I have not yet heard back from their email only customer service. I installed the seneye connect program. When I launch the program it prompts me to sign in then connect the seneye unit. When I plug it in the program does not see that unplugged it in. Just keeps the same message about plugging the seneye into a usb. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times and I have tried on 3 different computers all with the same effect. Does anyone have any advice for me?
 
From the sparse directions on their site it looks like the seneye connect program should update the firmware. I don’t see another way to update it.
 
Seneye was having email and server issues. I received a phone call this morning and my issues have been corrected. Customer service was helpful.
