Sfin's Dream.

I doubt it's that been up for a month and has been nice fat and happy just before this. I would have thought it would have started to show light stress before now.

With all that said just sent my buddy a message. I'm sure he will let me borrow it over the weekend.

This damage is very confusing. I wouldn't think par would do this. I'm also wonder why just the middle. I may frag this thing through the exposed skeleton try to save a piece. I will also give it a iodide dip tonight. Can't hurt

The elegance still looks fantastic.

Alright, and you haven't seen the angelfish near it? Someone could be snacking.

I have seen the angel at the dieying scoly. That's an outliar due to the fact I got it in very poor condition and a melanurus had ripped off multiple feeding tentacles trying to steal food. So if it went after a scoly and it its nipped at the acans the lobo is definitely a possibility. I've never seen the Halloween hermit near the lobo. My bet is the angel.

When I'm around my tank the angel has nipped at the acan and scoly alway left lobo alone.

I'm definitely going to dip and possible frag. Both the left side and right side have mouths. It's possible to save this guy.

The angel is going just because of the acan nipping.

Mechanical damage = being eaten/picked on..

The term is usually used with fish injury caused by other fish so I thought it fit here as well.
I was thinking you ment something fell on it or something like that.

I never had a lobo, and the one I got is really not a lobo. I would watch that angelfish like a hawk. Make sure it isn't picking at the coral while it doesn't think you are looking. The coral I was sold as a lobo is an A.patchysepta. Much easier to care for.

@Lost in the Sauce @danieyella
I believe these 2 have experience on these coral.
My lobo frickin hated my tank, I rehomed it. The other big meat piles like me more

If you can get that angel out, I believe toughening up on feeding will help the lobo recover lost tissue. If they behave like trachyphyllia.
Toughening up on feeding?

Basically, i had to fight my fish and shrimp from tacking the trachy's food. It was painful. I didn't have a proper fitting cover for it.
