Hello all, sorry to bring this back again. I thought of giving an update on my tanks issue might be helpful to some other people. I hava had 4 stressful months in battling this bacterial bloom. after doing a lot of researches and trying different products with no achievements I managed to get my sand bed and rocks cleared up of the brown slime algae like bloom. So in my suspicion I think there were cyano bacteria and another type of brown bacteria were domainating my tank and they were killing or not allowing my beneficial bacteria to do its job. I had to dose different products but non of them helped. What I did was dosing chemiclean on the first time but it didnt help after about a month and a half I gave checmiclean another shot with the lights of for 3 days after and immediately dosed Microbacter 7 for several days a little over the recommended dose so for instance if I was dosing 20ml for 100 gallon I was adding 30ml for a few days until I ran out of Microbacter 7. while doing these my skimmer was running just to provide aeration to the tank. after a week everything was gone and the tank looks clean now.

So what I am thinking happened here is the bad bacteria due to some die offs in the tank such as shrimp and chocolate chip star fish the brown bacteria with cyano bacteria started to take over and caused my several corals die. after dosing chemiclean and Microbacter 7 it was resolved. I have learned this the hard way hope anyone facing this issue would try the solution I had and see if we can name it a proper solution for such an outbreak.

Best,
Qasim
