These looked much better when I posted them from my phone. Not so much at full size on the desktop.

Frag tank clean up. Smashed this up to make 30+ frags of CB Bling Bling Cyphastrea and WWC Copperhead. Also started a new cyphastrea encrusting project for one of the guys over at Avast Marine.

Just read through, Great looking build ! ! !

Can I ask? What are you using to attach your frags? Looks like the Polymorr stuff you used for the rocks, is it? If so how's the working time under water?

I create a polymorph 'cast' of the rock, then use that to mount the frag. Push hot polymorph in to the rock where i want the frag to be mounted. At the same time i make an indent for the frag. Once it cools i remove the polymorph (it does not stick to the rock) and I mount the frag to it. Once the frag is mounted to the casting with super glue gel, I mount the cast to the rock with the same super glue gel. Because the polymorph cast is a perfect mold of the rock, it will glue in easily.

Hope that makes sense.

Awesome job man! Keep updated on Frankenstein rock!

I'm having bleaching issues since adding the 8 bulb ATI. I initially set the new light a little higher than the 4 bulb unit. I also cut the photoperiod by three hours. Since the bleaching is tank wide and affecting both SPS and LPS, I have raised the light another 6" and have cut the photoperiod to 3 1/2 hours on the six main bulbs. I kept the 2 bulb channel @ 12 hrs for the actinic bulbs.

Will slowly extend the photoperiod as things recover.
