Share some fish pic love.

Possibly, I have had both "ich free" but of the two yellow belly blue tangs that I have had, they have been easier. More docile temperament too from my experience.
I agree .
he was about 1.5” when we got him .
look to be about 3”
Almost as thick as he is long

What are these?

Are they a type of pipefish ?

Possibly just the wrasse instinct to hunt for small food? I have never had a large wrasse to observe their behavior in a tank.
Definitely for this species.

I've kept larger wrasses in the past that will grab food items too big and smash them small enough to eat (Gomphosus, Thalassoma, larger Halichoeres, Coris, and Novaculichthys). This guy wouldn't even touch clam on the half shell, where even the leopards, pencils, and fairy wrasses would grab and shake.

Two unedited FTS... First one is standard camera mode, second is using pro settings..

Sorry about the reflections... I really can't get good shots until after dark...

Notice the 2nd pic has much less blue washing everything out? That is the difference between just snapping a pic and taking the time to adjust your camera settings.

Edit:

Here is the final shot after post editing..

Very impressive for only using the photo settings.

I just wanted to share some photos of our Purple Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus). I was playing with my camera (I am still very new to the whole photography thing) and FINALLY caught some decent photos of my daughter's favorite fish "Elena". It is usually pretty reclusive but the other day it was out and about and kept trying to show me its "good side". Enjoy.

Please share yours below. I would love to see some of your best shots.

like this Purple or pink Dottyback so much, when i purchased it from lfs, i thought it is peaceful fish since it looks so cute and pretty but .... till he chasing clownfish and kill one of it...then he make the fire fish jump out of tank, end up i try to catch it and give it away but i can't even catch it, now i think either i need to take most of rock out or have to borrow a fish trap to get him out, such aggressive mean fish ever lol

They do have a reputation of being aggressive. How big was your tank?
