A Y connector before the DI resin. One side goes to your drinking water, one side to the resin and then off to your RODI storage.hoping there is a way to fill up the tank and still be able to have drinking water from the RO at the same time
Here is a dumbed down version that explains what you're trying to accomplish.

Not my picture but I found this. Basically just use valves to determine where the water from the membrane goes.

This is exactly how mine is setup. Works great except i use it manually to fil 5 gal jugs at a time. Its under my kitchen sink which isnt optimal for dual use when i need to do other things in the kitchen but it allowed me to make my own RODI for the cost of adding a DI filter(about $30).Not my picture but I found this. What did that run if you dont mind?I just had a culligan tankless installed at my sink. The unit is in the garage a nd pumps out 5 gallons in about 6-7 minutes probably. I haven't timed it but its pretty fast. also use it for drinking, coffee etc. It has a booster pump on it and flushed the membrane every few hours on its own. pretty sweet.
