Oh right aha thank you should I leave in the shell for my hermits ?It's dead and the cleanup crew took care of the body
Yes I think because I have got diatoms in my tank as it’s new and if they don’t eat that then they where fed not yesterday the day before ( I feed every other day as I can sometimes be quite heavy handed while feeding) so they had food and the snail last time I saw it was high up on the glassHave the hermits snails and crabs got food? If not they will be looking for food, and a poor turbo is a easy target!
I have 2 hermits and there are about 6 or 7 different sized shells in the tank for them and last night the snail was high up on the glassDirect your attention to the hermits .
How many do you have ?
they will attack and kill snails primarily for the shell .
But sometimes just to check the shell if it’s a suitable fit .
if not they will leave the shell behind
While we are on the topic of shells do you know why they arent going in the shells I have put in for them ?Direct your attention to the hermits .

Thank youmoving is a lot of work .
maybe they don’t want to pack up and move yet.
Waiting for the real estate market to improve ....
all joking aside .
Provide plenty of empty shells of various sizes for them to choose .
as they grow they will need and seek for bigger shells

Lol aha you’d think until you see the little bit of algae but now I don’t have any snails ? I was going to get nassarius snails this weekend but is that a bad idea for CUC now I only have 2 hermit crabs and a blood shrimpYour tank looks about 4 days old lol probably not enough food in the tank to keep all of your CUC alive. I'd wait before putting anything else in there.
Because it’s too new and too clean . There really isn’t much for anything else to eat .Lol aha you’d think until you see the little bit of algae but now I don’t have any snails ? So no snails when I go tomorrow ? Can I buy food for the cuc then cause I don’t want my hermits and my blood shrimp to dieBecause it’s too new and too clean . There really isn’t much for anything else to eat .
I have some brown what I think is diatom algae and that is spreading there is some on the glass some on the rocks and a little on the sandbed . If I should feed them what do I feed them ? As I only have ocelaris clowns for fish now I am feeding marine pellets and the very occasional frozen bloodworm blockThey aren't much of a clean up crew if you're having to feed them. But seeing as they are in there now I would say feed them every now and then. Nassarius snails are good for eating whatever is left over if you're going to be feeding things and they stir up the sand bed. Unless your glass or rock has a lot of algae I wouldn't add any other snails to clean those things for now. Let that stuff build up a bit or the crabs may help out some.
Thanks yeah I think it will be trochus and nassarius so I can get the rock glass and stir up the sandbedAlso the trochus snails can right themselves. If you're looking for the ones that will go on glass and rock.
