Hey juagermeister! I picked up this AI prime for my tank, what're you running your settings at? I have the IM Nuvo 10, I currently have my settings at 14500k all at 30 percent except 17 percent on green red and white.

To be honest I'm currently using the easy schedule with everything at 50% and lunar cycle at 1% blues and purples. This is just until I get back from vacation so I have more time to tinker. I 'll probably be asking you for help!! [emoji23][emoji23]

Also if you haven't noticed I had to reverse the AI Prime Tank mount to accommodate the rear lid. I'm going to replace the standard screws with stainless to help with rust and life of the screw.

Little trick I found that works well with mounting the ATO return line with the bent tube is to use a simple plastic flat feet for cabinet doors. It secures the tube on the tank side and gets it off the side of the tank so that it pours without causing water stains over time.

I've been waiting to see a build thread on this tank. Looks good so far! I thought they wouldn't get shipped till after Christmas though.

We setup the RC17 as a demo in the store and for videos. Josh was the very first to order an RC9 as he popped in shop 10min after we launched the pre-order lol. He came back and stole our RC9 demo unit which we were about to setup as a Jawfish tank. Knowing Josh, I knew he would get it setup right. And more importantly, would make it look insanely hot!

You are correct however that production units have not started coming off the line yet. Production starts on January 1st. First production units will begin shipping about three weeks from then.

Oh I kind of snuck into Adams shop and stole the first one off the line! I guess it helps living 20 minutes away from his shop. Lol

Okay wire management is done and everything fits snug as a bug with room to spare! So as of now what I have in the back chamber is:

Ehime 50 watt heater
Tunze Osmolator nano
Fresh water return line
IM media basket (pre filter, carbon, phosphate)
Quiet one return pump
Clamped on to the back wall is the AI Prime reversed to fit the stock cover.

Clean build so far. The reef rocks have been sitting in Adams shop reef system for a long time now so it's already good to go. I'm going to add a bottle of Dr Tims just in case and add some rock rubble from my reef. My goal is to have this tank rocking and ready to drop some corals and a couple fish with two weeks. Before I do that I will be running the standard water tests.

Question about the tunze nano Osmolator. I caught it for the second time pumping in nearly a half gallon of fresh RO even though the float switch is sitting in the highest position. What gives? The setup is textbook. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Never mind figured it out. The switch was stuck at an angle preventing the float from going back up once depressed.

Hey Tmr, you mentioned the 9 gallon in another post and the brooklyn stand from Petco. With the 17 however we used the newport stand from Petco for the demo unit. This stand already has a flat top unlike the Brooklyn so you would be all set there if we opted to the 17 gallon.

Yeah I am going back and forth trying to decide between the 9 or 17. I have a Royal Dottyback currently in my biocube 14 that will be occupying the tank.

LOL, it's certainly a tough choice!! For a tank sitting on a stand the 17 gallon would be my choice of the two. For a tank sitting on a desk, counter, etc.. the 9 gallon is a phenomenal choice.

Adam is right, if you're going for a tank in the office or kitchen get the 9 gallon it's perfect. And Adam those panda gobies look dope!
