73gal with two Kessil A360WE (max 55% intensity and blue) , started adding corals since 5 months and some does well but others are not, found out later my system is too clean with No3 and Po4 zero, so i started feeding more and even added nitrate dosing, now its been a month or more that No3 is from 5 to 8ppm range and Po4 with 0.08 to 0.10 range, I haven't dosed since 2 weeks and No3 Po4 is still around that range.

I dose RedSea Coral Color ABCD every other day, Reef energy twice a week, ReefRoid once a week.

Majority of zoas and 2 favia corals that does not look good and is still the same. Not opening fully and colors faded.
1 Emerald Green Palythoa Grandis use to be nice and green and multiplied form 1 to 3 now but its bit faded and shrinked.

Other than that hammer, torch, orange ricardo, green leather, acan, green goni, pink zoas are all doing fine and growing.

Okay to the question in title, instructions say adding trace minerals as per the Ca/alk consumption, but the problem is I have two part from B-ionic setup with doser and if I just add 2ml each day the alk goes from 8.5 to 9.1 in one week, If i stop completely alk starts come down, but the Calcium test (RedSea) always in 500+ and it never came down for as long as i know (8 months+), If thats the case the very low dosing of 2ml or none for Ca, make me i can't dose trace elements at all?

Does adding Reef Energy, Coral color ABCD, Reef Roid alter Alk?

Here is some pic of not good looking zoas, favias totally disappeard so nothing to picture.

I am trying to find whats wrong so i can fix it.

How often do you do water changes and what amount?
Trace elements are just that, and many salt mixes have them.

I don't, I would like to run a non-water change system and just depend on dosing.
but I did one on the weekend for 12 gal, also i do take around 4 gal or so occasionally to add to QT and replace with newly mixed water.

If you dont do water changes then you will need to add trace elements. I suggest you get your water tested (ICP) to see where you are at and what you need to dose. I dont believe in dosing unless you can measure in the water what you are dosing

I did that too around May, and here is the result which if i understand it says I am low on lot of trace elements.

First of all you have zoa's a few LPS that don't consume much Cal and Alk. Secondly, you are doing too much with worrying about reef energy, trace elements, and feeding. I suggest start with the basic, do a few water changes and get your tank happy. You have easy corals that don't need all that you're doing.

So no other way than water change? water change will bring back my not well zoa's?
Thats what i thought that i don't have corals thats consuming Ca, but zoa's does not thrive and tried to find what particular its missing so i can dose them.

I can tell you that trace elements is not your solution. Trace elements are more if your sps is lacking coloration but your tank has to consume a whole lot of Cal/Alk to be depleted of trace elements. Your corals not opening up could resulted from many things. The simple back to basic is to do water change and that generally fix many things we don't have an answer for.

So you suggest stop all dosing and do regular water change alone will show some result!

I'll do the water change for time being to see it comes back, but I am still puzzled by what's in this new water has that can take care of the corals.
