Should I be worried about my nem?

Hey there. Sounds super stressed skimmed the prior reply’s- it stated I apologize, Did you feed it? if not I wouldn’t and don’t force it. Depending on setups and every other variable, they will do weird things. An open mouth could be excreting waste/purging. Brown goo is more then likely waste.
I’ve seen my Nems do some weird things. I would refrain from physically moving it unless in danger of power heads etc. it will move if It’s not happy. Make sure your salinity and parameters are proper, which Im sure they are. Try and temp match the water during changes.
In my time of having nems (Few years) I’ve only had a two not make it and I related one to rushing it into the tank without a proper drip acclimation and the other from my mama clown straight up roughhousing it .. Hopefully yours doesn’t beat it up while flat. Fingers crossed it’ll charm the nem back up.

Looks like it closed up, mine looked like all your pictures when it ate me shrimps molted body, he ended up being like that for 2 days then the whole thing came back out. Be patient and wait

Alright, I check water earlier, pH seemed to be low, but I think my test may be faulty. I’ve been dosing pH buffer to try and make sure my pH is good. I did a 15% water change today as well.

Will he move back to the front of the tank? He was happy there and then I got a power outage and he moved...

Is it possible the clownfish are aggrevating it?

pH buffer, depending on what it is, can raise ALK through the roof. I did this when I was new. Maybe your ALK is extremely high. My nems look like this after a split. Check and double check water chemistry using quality kits. Then if that's good do a series of small water changes.

No problem. What was the ph? If it is low a steady slight increase to where it should be. Don’t try and slam it up or down. Nems have a mind of their own if they had one to stat with. Lol. Water flow depending on the attitude of the nem will make it move till their comfy being newer to the tank and then an outage (stopping flow) could’ve added to the stress.. best thing like above jeeps stated quality test and small water changes matched best . If needed To add buffers or anything m, best to do so in new water prior to change or sump systems. Best of luck

pH is about 7.8/9 I would say. Just tested 3 times.

pH is 7.8/8. I started using marine buffer for pH and it seems to be working, do you guys think I should stop? Also how much should I increase my light? It's on 12 hours a day currently, it just isn't getting as much as it was before the power outage (because it moved).

After my nem split it looked similar. Some random nights it even looked like that, but it always pulled through. I would think giving the nem some space and not changing anything unless you're 100% certain it's wrong will give him the best chance of making it.

Alright, I'll just see if he gets better. I think I'm seeing some improvement. He looks awful at night which worries me but during the day he's been extending more and more.

I think he just needs some time to recover from a stressful event just as we humans do! The best thing in my opinion is to limit his stress and try to keep the conditions consistent with what he was acclimated to. I think he'll be right back to his old self!

After my week of worry I really just think he might be trying to split and hasn’t found a place to make it happen. But man does he look terrible

Mine has only split when it's crowded in the spot it loves. Like mushed against the glass, rocks, heater, back wall. Yours is small so I am assuming if it's trying to split it's to increase it's odds of survival. Check ammonia and add a ton of carbon. Something may have got in the tank. I have had my anemone since maybe month 3 of my tank setup in a 20. I've learned since then I was very lucky. But being a big city dweller in an apartment I had no other hobbies/interests besides the 1&1.5 hour drive to and from work. So I watched everything constantly and had the support of the local fish shop to guide me.

I don’t wanna jack this guys post. But no I got it from Petco and they had almost starved it to death so yes your right but no it’s not my tank it was theirs. I meant some type of toxin got in the tank, cleaners, aerosols, perfume, scented candles, etc... I allow none of that in my house due to the tanks. That is all. And you guarantee better parameters but have not listed them. Please list all parameters you can test for. API tests are not suitable for anything so hopefully that's not what you are using.
