I love this thread! I'm new to R2R, but have been lurking for a couple of years... Meant to do a build thread on this, but life happened and I dropped the ball. I'm 6 weeks in on this build - transferring a Biocube 29 to a Fluval M90. Going with a medium grain dry sand for weight (added flow) with live sand to seed, swapped out live rock for Carib Sea Life Rock about 3 weeks in... the water parameters came around quickly, but the new cycle is definitely on with a vengeance! Diatoms now working their way out, cyano/spirulina doing its thing on the substrate. Tough sledding for the bubble coral... bought it not knowing it was injured.

yay for the ugly imperfect mess that is aquaculture! #nofilter

Hopefully some Coraline will displace the indigenous GHA. Lol

What tank is that? It has the perfect (to me) leangth to width to height ratio for a reef tank.

Does this look like cyano? I’m use to it being red not a brown color. This is my tanks second month.

3 weeks after adding fish and corals from my 20 gal. Some algae here and there but still new tank. Planning on setting up a fugue in the back in the next week or so. Going to reef dreams next weekend hopefully pick up some .

This was about 6 or 8 weeks in. Pictures I have aren’t very good but tank was pretty ugly at that time. GHA was just starting to take off. Got quite a bit worse before it got better.
