Here is my cabinet for my controllers the other side will house an APEX if I ever buy one.

Just finished putting together the controller cabinet for my build.

The cabinet is a white 2 glass door floor cabinet from Amazon.

I cut out a big opening in the rear of the cabinet so that the power supplies that will be mounted on the rear of the control board will have adequate ventilation.

Here is the 3/4” plywood used for the mounting board that will slip inside of the cabinet.

Glued and pocket hole screwed.

Primed and painted.

Components mounted.

I had this cabinet built, size is 8" x 36"x 24" wide, I have installed cooling fans on the bottom to keep power bricks cool and air flowing though the cabinet, all the drivers are mounted in brackets on the front. here are some of the pictures..

I think I'm going to have to build a separate cabinet now after seeing these. I am curious though, when you have to take out skimmers, pumps, powerheads, heaters, etc for cleaning isn't it a pain? I see some people use zipties on the wiring I would hate cutting those and having to redo them whenever I have to take something out for cleaning. Also, do you have any issues with cords being too short and needing some kind of extension? If so what is your solution?

Got a small update on mine.

The acrylic shelf will have a profilux 4 and doser 2.1

The wiring and 2 Apex EP8s are behind the panel. The cabinet is an IKEA BESTA 15" deep. I went to Home Depot and had them cut me a pre fab shelf for my board which are supported on square dowels about 7" in. The cab is seperate from tank, I wanted to keep electronics far from moisture. I'll get pics of wiring up when I finnish cleaning up, but for now it's presentable in my living room. This also supports another 65 gal tank which is upstairs.

here is my DIY cabinet that houses all the EB8's, power bricks and float switch wires with 2 cooling fans that pushes air from the bottom up. size is 24" wide x 26" high x 6" deep, I wish I could have made this little deeper but it is ok for now..

How does everyone keep the power supplies mounted mine keep falling off with the use of Velcro?

Mine are bolted/screwed to back wall of my cabinet

Here's mine- standard cabinet. Just mounted a piece of 1/2" plywood about 4 inches from the back wall to hold the cables.
