I’m starting to plan a new build which will incorporate my first ever fish room, and I would like to see how others set up their fish room.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any help!

This is a great question and I’m looking forward to seeing some of the pictures as there are some proper fish rooms on here. I could look at them as much as the tank with all the equipment they have.

And welcome to R2R by the way

Yeah some people like to stare at coral I sometimes stare at the equipment instead... much appreciated great to be here!

Appreciate the link, that’s a very nice build you have going on. I don’t know if I skipped over it, but are you going to be any sort of QT tanks in the fish room?

There’s a 40b observation tank in there but main QT will be done as TTM in a separate area of the basement (to the right of the rodi station and sink) to mitigate potential cross contamination of water to the main sump. 4x 10g yanks and a couple of 20longs if needed. Post #63.

Do you mean fish room or equipment room? They are different.
A equipment room is separate room for your equipment for your aquarium.
A fish room is a room with multiple aquariums and can house equipment or even have a separate equipment room.
I am in the process of a fish room with over 20 aquariums. I keep changing design so not absolutely sure on the amount yet.

I guess in your sense an equipment room, where you would house the sump, refugium, and QT

I couldn't, in good conscience, recommend what I have done to anyone else.

I’ve been smiling at your post, very amusing, but as long as you know what’s what that’s all that matters!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many wires and tubes! Lol

Fantastic!

I have a lot of mad-scientist in me. The saving grace is actually my apex. Almost everything is connected so if there is a problem, apex tells me where to look. Although I know what everything does, if I am out of town it is almost impossible to direct my sons to something specific. If you have 8 minutes to waste, check this out

That’s a great video and well worth watching guys!

There are some real funny posts as well on that thread! Lol

My fish room is simple . It's 10 by 6' . There's a utility sink & filter, room for my mixing barrels etc. I had a dinning room with no table so why not? HPIM9256.JPG
