I was just looking into BRS booster pumps yesterday, and on their website it says that they require 20psi inlet pressure or it voids the warranty.
You are correct about the warranty. Just talked to BRS and they will cover a 30 day warranty but did say it is a grey area with Aquatec's warranty. Will contact Aquatec to see why 20psi. Just my opinion but a lot of components work just fine when used out of their specifications and honestly myself I am not too concerned about warranty for a $100 pump.

That's some great insight there @Steve2020 Thanks for sharing! I def plan on calling @Bulk Reef Supply before purchasing equipment.

No problem with doing either of those things Gaspipe. That is exactly what I am doing. Just make sure you have a pump that can handle the head pressure. My run from the RODI and saltwater tanks is 45' to my aquarium room. Was waiting for the Versa dosers to become available since they can handle the distance but got tired of waiting. Talked with BRS and to my surprise they recommended to use the booster pumps that you use on RODI systems and they push and pull water just fine. Way more volume than a Doser. I was shocked because I have never read on this site of anyone utilizing a booster pump for this application. I always thought you needed a water pressure input for a booster pump to work but I was wrong. The reefing expert at BRS said that some of there employees have been using booster pumps for awhile without any issues. No pump maintenance required.
Thought I would add this little bit of info on booster pumps in case others have a distance issue like I have.

ooo I will join in! My house water is from a well which is pretty hard.. 240ish tds mostly calcium. I run the pressure around 70psi. It is a bit chilly though so that reduces output but I don't worry too much about it. It's filtered down to 1micron for the whole house.
Water goes through the RO. RO water goes through carbon and then to DI. Running cation then anion and final mixed bed for DI. Not so neat but it gets the job done. CaRx, ATO, AWC with DOS all in the same area.

Meanwhile my four stage system is sitting on my deck covered by an old "top-entry" catbox to prevent any direct-sunlight issues. Filling up RODI is super sketchy because the deck is over twenty years old and has never been maintained by the home owner. I've fallen through in some spots over the years.

Wow some of these look like very high tech industrial scale setups

Silly question: Can I use my RODI system on demand and take it down between use? We have a small apartment, and I plan to set up the RODI unit on our counter top when in use. We just don’t have the room to leave it on the counter top permanently.

You can, but I bet after a few times you will figure out a way to stash it under a sink or in a closet. The sediment filters will get a stink going on.

You can and hang it in garage or store in a cabinet. There is an adapter which you likely use to connect to faucet

Here is mine... I have a 5 stage system made by Liquagen that I got off Amazon. It fits nicely in the closet of my art studio. The laundry nook is on the other side of the wall so it was an ideal place for making the plumbing simple.

Actually, never have mounted it directly to the wall. It still sits on the shelf as shown here. When I need to change the filters, I just deal with it. Thankfully it is only something I need to do every 6 months or so.

Easy to drill through the drywall and fish the tubing through. T off the cold water supply for the washing machine and run the waste water down the washer drain.

I do not use this can for collection, old photo. When I filled this can up the first time, the water bowed out the sides of that can so bad I was afraid to use it. I went with a 32g Brute can for the collection can.
