I'm thinking about setting up a 29g reef tank and I'm looking for inspiration! Standard 29g rectangle tanks. Let me see and know what you have! Lots of pictures please!! Also an emphasis on lighting details!!

Had it for two years. Plain and simple set-up- sumpless and Current Orbit led. reef.jpg

Beautiful tank! Do you use a skimmer or any filtration media?

I miss this tank- very low key on maintenance; 5g water changes every two weeks.
No skimmer on this pic but I ran Aquatic life for roughly 6 mos only bec skimmer went downhill.
I had a bag of chemi pure elite on HOB.

Aquatic life? And I've grown fond of chemipure elite myself I think I will run that on my 29g set up

Couple of people used the current orbit LEDs, what did you guys think to them?

How's the skimmer work?
It's rated for 75 gallon tank and as three cylinders to assemble the body then the skimmer cup. I just took one of the cylinders out and the water line just barely reached. The setting for the air pump is set to about half open. Here's less than a week's worth of skimmate.

Oh wow, and you said it's an air stone model? Where can you purchase one and what is the price range? Is it large?

I purchased mine from my lfs about 4 yrs ago for about $60 I think. It's been discontinued since then by Red Sea. It's 16" x 3".

Nice tanks!

Here is an early picture showing how I set up the lighting. I went with an AI Hydra 26 HD. Built a custom shelf which the light hangs from. Plenty of light and looks great!

Tank also has HOB Skimmer, HOB Refugium, and filter.
