I miss my TEC watermelon. Wish I never traded that one. I got it from Hung at Baycorals a while back but traded it off and figured I would just replace it along the way, still hasn't happened. My Jaydas likes moderate to high light, for a chalice anyway to get its best colors.

mine died in a bad alk swing...let me if you ever find any, been looking for it foe over a yearnow...even the wife liked that one...she god mad and blamed me when it died...lol....like it was my fault the dosing tubes got plugged up.

at least 2 yrs or more had to frag for friends and stuff its on the bottom of the tank lights are just 250 watt mh radium 20k on a 24 high tank i bet the color be better if its higher in the tank

I got mine. I'm very happy with the size. It completely encrusts a regular frag plug and grows down the sides. The eyes and rim are a nice bright green, but the rest is purple. It's only been in my system a couple days, but it looks nothing like Poletti's or finsandcritters' pics. What lighting are they using to bring out the pink bumps?

I know this is very old but what is the difference between jaydas and regular watermelon. I had one just labeled as a watermelon as it seems they usually are and it died so I have a chance to pick up one called a jaydas. Looks the same from what I can remember with the green rim and pink blue bumps with yellow to greenish eyes. Its 40 bucks! I am assuming jaydas are worth more? Seems people are having a hard time with it though so might pass. I am still sort of a newbie and have no idea on how to get corals to color up!
