I dont think that is it? never seen it with a blue base like that...and the eyes color looks a lil off....either way it's a very nice chalice.

I bought it as the Jaydas and I think Mike is pretty good about knowing what he has. I know it looks a different from any I have seen and it is one of my favorites regardless.

It looks like some of the pictures of the Jayda's I have seen. Mine doesn't though But chalices have a way of morphing in my tank for some reason. LOL.

It looks like Jaydas to me Kelby, Give it some time though and see what it does. That one definately can shift a bit from time to time.

Ok, does it seem to show/develop pink better under higher or lower lighting?

I run 6 t5's.

Mine was in pretty high light. It was in the bottom 2/3 of my tank directly under my halides (3x250W 14k Phoenix) now its in my frag tank under 4 t5's

Could very well be, it just looked a lil off to me...vendors mix up chalice frags all the time...when they are a one eye frag like that it is hard to tell one from another...it always good to label the bottom of the disk...it look's a lil like the TEC but I haven't seen that one for so long I couldn't tell you for sure...so dont take my word for it. I had the TEC WM a long time ago and it was my favorite WM I had in the tank at the time, I have been on the look out for the real one for a long time now (lots of fakes out there)...

TEC WM, see how yours has a blue base like the TEC?....and you can kind of see the Jaydas in the pic to the left of the TEC

Here is an old top down form a year or two ago...when it looked at it's best..lol..even at it's best it still wasn't colored up enough for me. BOTTOM LEFT..

I have been trying to get a good picture of mine, its roughly 4in across. Here is a vendors photo and this is what mine looks exactly like. I bought mine from VIVIDS about 2 years ago.

+1 it kind of looks like it to me to...what ever it is it is going to be nice!!! the thing I see that looks the most like it is the eyes, I have noticed that Jayda's always throws out those weird stretched out big eyes now and then...good luck! BTW that thing is huge!!! where do you fid some one selling Jaydas that big?

I hope it is Jayda's! I guess we will see once it completely colors up. I actually was not looking for it, but I was browsing one of my local forums and came across a guy getting rid of a huge Bubble Gum Monster and a huge LE WM Chalice. The price was way to right for me to pass on, considering the colony was 35 eyes. So I immediately contacted them, and got it. The only reason they were getting rid of these colonies was because their moorish idol was constantly nipping the edges of them.

The wm I bought had been in the same spot in his tank for 3 years and the guy had the coral from 2007 until now.

I have the real deal TEC too. It is an awesome chalice for sure. It's still pretty small but it has a lighter pink in it. Not as "bold" I guess. I'll try and get a pic of it tomorrow.
