Show Off Your Fluval Evo Reef

Hey guys,

So I think I’ve decided to go with a Fluval Evo 13.5 gallon for my pico upgrade. This will be strictly a softy tank. I’ve browsed various build threads but many seem to just stop with not much progression. So I’m asking to see some pics of your Evo reefs. I know many people seem to upgrade the light, but if you run stock pics of that would be even better! Thanks!

Here’s mine right before I moved.

Everything is stock except I added a Hygger mini wave on the right for extra flow. I grew mainly anthelia, zoas, macro algae, and a large rainbow BTA all with the stock light.

What kind of Wavemaker are you using and did you keep the stock pump? And tank looks nice brother! What kind of corals will you be adding?

Everything is stock. The wavemaker is the hygger mini 1500gph. Corals will be all softies with just a couple LPS. Mainly mushrooms, Kenya tree, GSP, Green Sinularia etc

Here’s my evo. Lights just started turning on here. Still setting it up, curing some live rock right now to add. Anyone else have the problem where the overflow only stays half full on chamber 2 and 3 ? Wondering if changing from the stock foam to a media basket would help.

Unknown zoa colony
Green tip torch

Kenya leather

And something else I can’t identify (bottom right)

Here’s an update on mine: I have a bit of Cyano but I think my nutrients are bottoming out. I still have a couple more corals to move over. The only one not happy is my interstellar mushroom.

Yeah I wish I had saved some money and stayed with the stock light. The new one I got hasn’t made much of a difference and my lfs has an amazing evo 15 running with the stock light.

Recently moved everything into a fluval. Its still a work in progress. Just upgraded my lights, waiting for a few things to color back up, gotta move some stuff around etc. but happy with it so far
