What's evaporation like with these little tanks if you keep the stock lid and light? Presuming very minimal?

I go through about a gallon of water every week to week and half.

I go through about a gallon of water every week to week and half.

We have an upgraded lid with holes in it .....tank itself is fine, but the overflow loses like a gallon of water a week and gets low.

We are in Florida and it's been a bit chilly ...so I expect when summer comes , we will lose about twice as much....and maybe deplete water out of the tank also.
