How fast do they grow? My first one melted and only paid 110.00 I am getting one more at 125, I sure hope it dosnt melt! I am going to put it in a different tank!@ maybe they dont like my other tank..lol

I got 1p in March. In 8 months they grew to 16p.

But... something has been going on. They've only been half opening this week, and it's making me nervous.

I used to not like zoas at all very much until recently. I actually thought they were really ugly lol. But now I’m obsessed!

So as the title says, show off your most expensive zoa! Or whichever your most beautiful one is. As I’ve been noticing at the LFSs some of the nameless ones are more colourful and stunning than the “designer” ones

I used to not like zoas mainly cause the polyps are so small. But my lfs suggested less light and they open up more. I have grand master Krakatoa, utter chaos, just ordered little shop of horrors, soon going to buy acid trip. I’m going to start collecting more of them. I also have AOI, Sunny D, Halle Barry, purple monsters, and blow pop zoas as well.

@Sabellafella nice colony of Poto Exosphere (that's the name game for ya). I'd considered buying the strain during one of their sales but it was still north of $100pp at that point and I didn't see enough else to justify shipping. How long have you had it? It appears to be a pretty solid grower and presents really really nicely!

As for stratocasters it's a big ole bucket of every yellow, purple and black zoa. They were few and far between there for a few years but once indo opened back up I've been seeing a bunch of different variations coming in on maricultured pucks. Obvious conclusion is that those types of zoas are largely endemic to the indo area. Here's two more examples. The ones on the puck are more solid vs the broken pattern on the other variety. Ones on the puck look similar to Chiquitas after 7-8 months in my system.

Usually your LFS or sometimes at a fragswap. Most online places chop them up.

I've got like 6 kind of zoa/ paly's in tank and range from free from lfs -£15 for 6 polyps- £ 20 for 20 or more polyps, I'm not into paying lots money for one polyps zoa,I just go for the colours and I see some these zoas for £ 100 pp and the likes then see another so similar for £ 5 per polyp so I'm happy enough with the similar cheaper looking one ^_^
But each to their own

My uncle purchased 2 polyps online of these Nightmares 2.0. So he shared a few with us.

Look great in day light, or the blues. The red specks look like they float just above the polyp. Or I could need glasses.
