I don’t see any signs of aggression. They are not always touching. The haddoni is on the move from time to time. Upgrading my tank in 2 months, will provide the haddoni with a deeper sandbed and hope he stays put then.

One of our anemone gardens! I wasn't able to grab all of them (there are 2 purple gigs and another electric green gig I can't get good photos of. For size comparison, the blue gig in the white bowl is probably 45cm+, the yellow tipped mag in the bag is easily 60cm+ across. The mag in the front is much more purple in person but I couldn't capture the color, same for the green one which is a very strong electric green in person. (Yep we have an aiptasia issue because the carpets eat all the copper bands...). They've all increased in size by several hundred percent, so we're in the process of planning an anemone-only build now!

Total count is 2 blue gigs, 2 green gigs, 4 purple gigs, 2 mags, 1 blue Haddoni, 1 red Haddoni, and a sebae anemone (which stings everything and I want to take it out...)

My haddoni is a roamer too! she has her own 20 long to wreak havoc on. I moved most of the sand to one corner (3” deep tops) and she seems to be settled there… for now…

I’ll play. Mine has overgrown the tank sitting at 13+ inches but too nice for me to let go. I wish there was more successful fragging experience in the hobby to venture down however I’m probably too chicken to attempt a carpet.

I think they call these Electric Green but I notice the yellows are coming out more and more by day. Purple underneath.

I find they start to shrink pretty quickly if you don’t feed them. And the reverse is true, they grow very quickly if you feed them a lot.

well sounds like multicolor from your description.. probably not the multi color that you wanted id say. picture shows greens, pinks, and tan

The multicolor seems cool, but question is how long / if it'll morph under your own lights. My green is getting more and more yellow and I'm really not hitting it with much more than 150-200 par being my tank's "shag rug" on the sand. I do wonder how much these things go for now as I'm not seeing much for sale at least retail. I know the reds demand the premium, but the neon greens do give alot of punch in the contrast.

The multi colors really need a ton of light to look really nice, IME. Some have seen mine over the years, it has hit its stride when in the right conditions. First two pics are old, last is fairly recent in lower par, low flow, blue gig has grown and has been dominating the space so it’s not getting the ideal conditions it wants. This multi color was almost totally tan/green when I originally introduced it to my system a few years ago.

The multicolor gigs always start as tan in color. Some will show multicolor characteristics under bright light--it's more of a rainbow sheen (like when oil sits on top of a puddle after it rains)--others will not. Some will turn a mauve color, almost light purple, but they will never be as brightly colored as a purple, blue, or green.

There are only two red gigs in captivity that I know of. One arrived at a garage op in San Diego a few years ago, but apparently it didn't make it past QT.

This is very cool. Thanks for sharing. This is the first time I've seen gigs in close proximity to one another. It's funny that they're tan, because I have two tan gigs like are touching each other, but my other gigs like to be alone.

Are they typically found in silty/unclear water in the wild? If I remember correctly, giganteas in Singapore are found in similar conditions.

Makes me wonder how much they have to adapt for our reefs, and if their native conditions actually foster greater opportunity for rampant spread of infection during transport.
