I have a $100 gift card to spend at my favorite LFS. and I decided I want to spend it on one amazing showpiece coral. I may have to ask them to order.. but I'd like some ideas and to see what would be best for my tank.

I currently have 4-bulb T5 (ATI Bulbs- 2 blue+, Coral+, Purple+). Planning on adding a SBreeflight LED actinic strip light in a few months, maybe sooner.

75 gallon tank.

I am thinking something flowy with lots of movement, something that will get big.

Give me ideas, show me your showpiece corals!

Are you leaning towards sps, lps, softies or inverts such as anemones, tube worms?

I am not sure. Something that I can't kill too easily, considering the price tag I am looking at.

nems I am unsure if I want yet

How about a toadstool like this

Do you have any Euphyllia like Frogspawn, or Torch?
What about a Duncan.

I have:
toadstool
rainbow acan
several acros
small collection of zoas
2 goni's (one green, one purple)
birdsnest and stylo
gorgi
2 duncans (one has 6+heads, the other has 4 heads)
Hammer

umm.. I think that's pretty much it. everything is all frag size, so it'd be nice to get something larger. Maybe a clam?

Seeing your collection of coral that you already have, I'd go sps. Hawkins echinata, although a tough coral for some, I have had great luck and is by far my favorite. Def a show stopper.

Or maybe a plating monti like you see in profile pic?

Clam is a great idea...Ive been thinking of getting one myself.

Monti's are nice! I have a small one but I don't think it's doing so well. the center of it is turning blueish white, the outside is still bright green.

I have a giant Hollywood stunner coral. Pretty indestructible. They're known to be pretty aggressive though. Not a fancy coral, but a beautiful piece under actinic.

You could get something like a birds nest. Depending on if your water parameters are stable enough to try SPS. Birds nest have always been more forgiving to me when I was starting out with SPS. I have a small 3-4" Maxima Clam in my 75g under an ATI 48" 8x54w dimmable and it loves the light.
