They are an NPS, so you must feed them directly. I have my dendros sitting in the water flow path of where my food flows around the tank during feeding...so they always catch food daily. And then I spot feed them at least once a week too.
Mine like low flow and low light. They're in Sandbed about 8" from side wall, and towards the front. Almost directly under the gyre 150 @60-70%. Dual kessil 160s and 4ho t5 (in a raggedy Home Depot fixture). Lighting is gonna change by end of year. Excited bout that upgrade! Once I figure out which fixture I want.
I buy nothing but frags, prefer to grow them out myself. My two leptos are pretty bright though, I have a rainbow acan that is very pretty up close. Really want to get my hands on scoly soon...
My elegance, I love this piece and everyone who sees it usually does as well.
My pink lemonade that has held its yellow for me very well, because of this it's definitely a showpiece.
My duncan colony, it's a definite showpiece because of how large it has gotten, around 150 heads in this photo but probably closing in on 200 right now; it has really taken off since I got my TBS live rock and just won't stop, loving it.
And my favorite piece, my magnifica anemone, not an easy invertebrate by any means and probably not something most aquarists should purchase.
Its weird when people come over and see my tank who don't know much about this hobby, are more interested in seeing xenia, or gsp, or are like that hermit crab is really cool. Are you kidding me? That hawkins goes 60$ for 1" piece. Its an amazing coral. They really don't get it.
